עלילת הסדרה עוקבת אחר קורותיהם של הוריהם העתידיים של שני הפרוטגוניסטים מהסדרה המקורית, ג'יימי פרייזר וקלייר ביצ'ם. את הוריו של ג'יימי בסקוטלנד של המאה ה-18 מגלמים הארייט סלייטר וג'יימי רוי; ואילו את הוריה של קלייר בתקופת מלחמת העולם הראשונה מגלמים הרמיוני קורפילד וג'רמי אירווין.

הסדרה עתידה לעלות לשידור ברשת "Starz".

רקע עלילתי

עלילת הסדרה מביאה את סיפור אהבתם של הוריו של ג'יימי פרייזר בסקוטלנד במאה ה-18, ושל הוריה של קלייר ביצ'ם במהלך מלחמת העולם הראשונה באנגליה.[1]

פיתוח

בפברואר 2022, נמסר לראשונה על פיתוחה של סדרת פריקוול לסדרת הדרמה התקופתית "זרה", אותה יכתוב ויפיק בפועל מתיו ב. רוברטס.[2] במאי 2022, המפיקה בפועל מריל דייוויס אישרה כי עלילת הסדרה תתמקד בקורותיהם של הוריו של ג'יימי פרייזר.[3] באוגוסט 2022, אושר שמה הרשמי של סדרת הפריקוול,[4] ובינואר 2023, נמסר כי רשת "Starz" הזמינה רשמית את הסדרה וכי עונתה הראשונה תכלול 10 פרקים.[5]

ליהוק

בפברואר 2024, נחשף בהכרזת הליהוק הראשונה כי לגילום דמויות הוריהם של ג'יימי פרייזר וקלייר ביצ'ם לוהקו הארייט סלייטר, ג'יימי רוי, הרמיוני קורפילד וג'רמי אירווין, בהתאמה.[6] עוד נמסר כי לגילום דמות סבו של ג'יימי, לורד לובט, לוהק טוני קוראן,[7] ועל ליהוקם של רורי אלכסנדר, סם רטפורד, סימוס מקלין רוס וקונור מקניל לגילום גרסאותיהם הצעירות יותר של דמויות מהסדרה המקורית.[8] באפריל 2024, נמסר על ליהוקם של בריאן מקארדי, ג'ון לומסדן, שרה ויקרס ופיטר מולאן לצוות השחקנים.[9]

צילומים

צילומי העונה הראשונה החלו בינואר 2024 בגלאזגו, סקוטלנד, והסתיימו ב-19 ביולי 2024.[10][11] עם זאת, נאלצה הפקת הסדרה להשהות את הצילומים עקב סערות באזור, ולחדש אותם רק בשלהי פברואר.[12] חלק מהצילומים התקיימו גם בטירת דואן.[13]
