הצעדה למען ישראל (באנגלית: Walk with Israel) היא מצעד שנתי לתמיכה בישראל המתקיים בטורונטו שבקנדה, שני בגודלו רק למצעד ההצדעה לישראל שמתקיים בניו יורק.[1] אחת ממטרות המצעד היא איסוף כספים שנתי לסיוע לערים שדרות, בת-ים ואילת / חבל אילות, כמו גם למטרות צדקה, לתמיכה בשירותים חברתיים ולפרויקטים הומניטריים בישראל.[2][3][4]

היסטוריה

הצעדה הראשונה אורגנה במאי 1970 על ידי המגבית היהודית המאוחדת (UJA), ואף על פי שהתקיימה ללא הרבה הכנות ופרסום הניבה 55 אלף דולר בתרומות למען ישראל, בעיקר לפרויקטים למען ילדים.[5] הצעדה החלה בשם הצעדה למען שרידות היהדות, והחליפה מספר שמות, בניהם מצעד הקהילות למען ישראל, מצעד הידידות קנדה-ישראל, עד שב 2003 התקבע השם הנוכחי Walk with Israel.[5][6][7] בנוסף לאירוע התרמה למען ישראל, המצעד תוכנן בראשיתו כאירוע ספורטיבי ואתגר לילדים.[5] בשנה הראשונה נמשכה הצעדה לאורך 35 קילומטרים.[6] ב-1987, נקבע אורך הצעדה ל-30 קילומטרים לציון יום העצמאות ה-30 של ישראל.[6] שנה מאוחר יותר, ב-1979, השתתפו במצעד 12 אלף צועדים.[6] ב-1981 שולב במצעד אירוע ריקודים שארך חמש עשרה שעות, במטרה לעודד תרומות.[6] לאורך השנים קוצרה הצעדה על מנת להפוך את המצעד לידידותי יותר למשפחות, ושולבו בו אירועי הגרלות, פעילות אירובית, ריקודים ואף לימודים, על מנת להעלות את הנגישות ולהגדיל את התרומות.[5] במשך שנים הפרס הראשון בהגרלה היה זוג כרטיסי טיסה באל-על לישראל.[5] מאז 1984, שיאו של המצעד הוא פסטיבל גדול עם פארק שעשועים, פינת ליטוף, ברביקיו, ליצנים, ואטרקציות דומות.[5]

במצעד משתתפים לעיתים גם בכירים בממשלה הקנדית.[4][8] בצעדה של 2010 צעד גם ראש ממשלת ישראל, בנימין נתניהו.[4]

ביוני 2024, השנה ה-55 למצעד, מנה המצעד מעל חמישים אלף איש, כמות שיא של אוהדי ישראל.[3][8] בעקבות טבח שבעה באוקטובר ומלחמת חרבות ברזל, הסתכמו התרומות למפונים ולקורבנות הטרור בישראל כמו גם לתמיכת נפשית ביותר מפי שלושה מהתכנון - מעל מיליון ומאתיים אלף דולר קנדי.[8][2] בשנה זו כלל המצעד צעדה לאורך של כחמישה קילומטר ברחובות טורונטו ולאחריה פסטיבל שחגג את התרבויות היהודית והישראלית.[3][8] בראש המצעד צעדו משפחות חטופים וחברי קיבוץ בארי, והצועדים נשאו את תמונות החטופים.[8] חבר מועצת העיר טורונטו ציין כי פוליטיקאים מכל דרגי הממשל ואנשים בני כל הדתות ומכל הקשת הפוליטית צעדו בצעדת התמיכה.[8] גם חברי הקהילה האיראנית-קנדית וחברי קואליציית הילידים למען ישראל (אנ') צעדו בסולידריות עם היהודים הקנדיים.[8][9] לאור אירועים אנטישמיים אותם חוותה הקהילה היהודית בטורונטו מאז פרוץ המלחמה, ועם נוכחות מאות מפגינים תומכי חמאס, הביאה המשטרה תגבור כוחות מערים סמוכות כדי לשמור על הסדר.[8][9]
