הוועדה השישית של העצרת הכללית של האומות המאוחדות

הוועדה השישית של העצרת הכללית של האומות המאוחדות (באנגלית: United Nations General Assembly Sixth Committee או C6) הידועה גם כ"ועדת המשפט" היא ועדה בעצרת הכללית של האומות המאוחדות, הוועדה עוסקת בעיקר במשפט בינלאומי פומבי, יישום עקרון השיפוט האוניברסלי וניהול נושאי הצדק שנידונים בעצרת הכללית של האו"ם.

הוועדה היא אחת משש הוועדות העיקריות של העצרת הכללית של האומות המאוחדות. הוועדה עוסקת בעיקר בעניינים משפטיים, והוועדה היא הפורום העיקרי בדיונים לגבי המשפט הבינלאומי, וכן עניינים נוספים הקשורים לאו"ם[1], עם זאת בעוד שמשא ומתן לקביעת חוק בינלאומי מתקיים במגוון רחב של גופים מיוחדים של האומות המאוחדות, בהתאם לנושא המרכזי שלהם, משא ומתן אשר נוגע למשפט הבינלאומי באופן כללי מתקיים בדרך כלל בוועדה זו[2].

הוועדה אינה מקיימת דיון כללי בתחילת מושבה, אלא דנה בנושאים שעל סדר היום בזה אחר זה. כל הצעה שאושרה והושג הסכמה על קידומה, מוגשת למליאת העצרת הכללית לאישור סופי ואחרון, עם זאת כאשר עולה הצעה שדנה בנושא מורכב מדי עבור הוועדה הוא לרוב מועבר לוועדת המשפט הבינלאומי (אנ') או לוועדת אד-הוק שתדון בו[3].

גולת הכותרת בפעילותה של הוועדה היא "שבוע המשפט הבינלאומי" שנערך מדי שנה בסוף אוקטובר. בשבוע זה מתכנסים בניו יורק יועצים משפטיים בכירים מהמדינות החברות באו״ם. כמו כן, בשבוע זה מוגשים לעצרת הכללית דו״חות בית הדין הבין-לאומי לצדק (ICJ) ובית הדין הפלילי הבינלאומי[4].
