בי-קיוריוס

בי-קיוריוס (Bi-curious, "סקרן לגבי ביסקסואליות"; מילולית "בי-סקרן") הוא אדם בעל נטייה מינית הטרוסקסואלית או הומוסקסואלית, שיש לו סקרנות או פתיחות מסוימת בנוגע לקיום פעילות מינית עם אדם מהמין שאינם מעדיפים.[1] המונח משמש לעיתים לתיאור רצף רחב של נטייה מינית שהיא בין הטרוסקסואליות וביסקסואליות.[2] רצפים כאלה כוללים אנשים שהם "בעיקר-הטרוסקסואלים" או "בעיקר-הומוסקסואלים", אך ניתן להזדהות ככאלה גם מבלי להזדהות כביסקסואלים.[3] המונחים "הטרופלקסיבל" (heteroflexible, "גמיש לגבי הטרוסקסואליות") ו"הומופלקסיבל" (homoflexible, "גמיש לגבי הומוסקסואליות") נחשבים גם הם כבי-סקרנות ("בי-קיוריוסיטי"), אם כי יש כותבים המייחדים את ההטרופלקסיביליות (או ההומופלקסיביליות) בתור חוסר הרצון להתנסות במיניות מסוימת, להבדיל מן השם "בי-קיוריוס" שמשתמע ככזה שמתאר אדם שיש לו רצון להתנסות באותה המיניות.[4]

המונח בי-קיוריוס רומז כי לאדם אין ניסיון הומוסקסואלי כלל (או שיש לו ניסיון מצומצם) במקרה של אנשים הטרוסקסואלים, או שאין לו ניסיון הטרוסקסואלי כלל (או שיש לו ניסיון מצומצם), במקרה של אנשים הומוסקסואלים, אך אלה עשויים להמשיך להזדהות עצמית כבי-קיוריוס אם הם לא מרגישים שבדקו את הרגשות האלה במידה מספקת, או אם הם לא רוצים להזדהות כביסקסואלים.

למונח, כמו לעוד מונחים רבים מעולם הלהט"ב, אין מילה מקבילה (רשמית) בעברית, ולרוב משתמשים בצורה המתועתקת של המונח מאנגלית – "בי-קיוריוס".
