They (מסוגנן כ-THEY, בתרגום חופשי לעברית: הם) הוא משחק וידאו מסוגת יריות בגוף ראשון שבעבר פותח על ידי Metropolis Software. לאחר שהסטודיו נרכש על ידי CD Projekt, צוות הפיתוח רוכז בפיתוח המשחק The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. על פי אחד מהמייסדים, מרצ'ין איווינסקי, המשחק לא בוטל באופן סופי והוא הכריז כי ”...עד כה לא קברנו את They ואנחנו מאוד רוצים לחזור אליו”.[1] אף על פי כן, ב-21 ביוני 2015, ‏CD Projekt RED ציינה כי הפרויקט ”בוטל כבר לפני הרבה שנים”.[2]

אורכו של קמפיין השחקן היחיד הוא עד 12 שעות משחק. מצב המרובה משתתפים כולל שני מצבי משחק: כולם על כולם וקבוצות.[3]

אחד מהאלמנטים הייחודים במשחק הוא האפשרות לשנות את הנשק של השחקן על ידי חלקים שהוא אוסף. אפשרות זו, המכונה "מערכת כוונון נשק" מאפשרת לשחקנים להתאים את נשקם לתפקיד שהם יעמדו בפניו בעתיד.

סרטון ההדגמה חושף שחלק מהמכונות נשלטות על ידי חייזרים המכונים "פאנטומים" שנותנים להם רמה גבוהה של יוזמה ואינטליגנציה. את מכונות ה-"פנטום" ניתן להבדיל בקלות מהמכונות הרגילות בכך שצבעם אדום.

עלילה

המשחק מתרחש בשנת 2012. השחקנים מגלמים חייל באנגליה שעובד עבור המפקד שלו, טייס. הטרור הפך להיות בעיה מרכזית; אף על פי כן, הכל משתנה כאשר רובוטים מסתוריים תוקפים. כוונות המכונות אינן ידועות, אך השחקן זמן קצר לאחר מכן מגלה כי הם נשלטים על ידי חייזרים בשם "פאנטומים".
