Apoptygma Berzerk הוא הרכב מנורווגיה שהוקם על ידי גרוט וג'ון אריק מרטינסן בשנת 1989.

ההרכב זכה להצלחה מסחרית יחסית עם שירי סינתפופ רקידים, מוקם בטופ 10 בגרמניה וסקנדינביה ואף זכה בפרסים. ההרכב, המכונה גם APB או Apop, הופיע באירופה, צפון אמריקה וישראל עם ההרכבים VNV Nation ,Beborn Beton ו-Icon of Coil.

לשם Apoptygma Berzerk אין משמעות מיוחדת - סטפן גרוט, סולן ההרכב וחברה המקורי, סיפר שבחר רנדומלית את השם מהמילון.
