פול היגינס (באנגלית: Paul Higgins; נולד ב-1963) הוא שחקן קולנוע וטלוויזיה סקוטי.

ביוגרפיה

היגינס נולד בלאנרקשייר (אנ') שבסקוטלנד. הוא גדל כנוצרי קתולי, ומגדיר את עצמו כקתולי שאינו דתי (אנ').[1] בנעוריו הוכשר להיות כומר, אבל ויתר על כך בגיל 17 כשהחל לצאת עם בנות.[2]

על במת התיאטרון הופיע היגינס במחזה "פול" ובמחזה "Black Watch". בקולנוע השתתף בסרט "שותף לפשע" משנת 2000. הוא גילם את אלן בסדרת הדרמה הרפואית "Staying Alive" של רשת ITV. בסדרה "The Thick of It" של ה-BBC שיחק בתפקיד ג'יימי מקדונלד, קצין עיתונות תוקפני. הוא גם גילם את אותה דמות בסרט הספין-אוף של הסדרה "In the Loop". ב-2009 הופיע בתפקיד גיל קמרון בדרמה "הופ ספרינגס" של ה-BBC. ב-2013 הופיע בדמות מייקל דאגדייל בסדרת המתח של ערוץ 4 "אוטופיה".

היגינס כתב מחזה בשם "Nobody Will Ever Forgive Us", שהועלה בנובמבר 2008 בתיאטרון טרברס באדינבורו בהפקה משותפת עם התיאטרון הלאומי של סקוטלנד.[3] עוד כתב היגינס את המחזמר "The Choir" שהופק על ידי תיאטרון סיטיזנס (אנ') בגלאזגו ולהקת תיאטרון אמבסדורס, והוצג באוקטובר 2015.[4]

חיים אישיים

היגינס נשוי לשחקנית אמליה בלמור, אותה הכיר ב-1992 כשהשניים כיכבו במחזה "מראה מעל הגשר" במנצ'סטר.[2] לבני הזוג יש שתי בנות. היגינס הוא טבעוני.
