סונאטה לפסנתר מס' 14 של בטהובן

סונאטה לפסנתר מס' 14, אופוס 27 מס' 2, הידועה גם כסונאטת אור ירח (בגרמנית: Mondscheinsonate), אשר בטהובן כינה גם Quasi una fantasia ("כמעט פנטזיה" באיטלקית), היא יצירה לפסנתר מאת לודוויג ואן בטהובן. היא נכתבה בשנת 1801, והוקדשה לתלמידתו בת ה-17, הרוזנת ג'ולייטה גוויצ'ארדי (Giulietta Guicciardi). כחמש שנים לאחר פטירתו של בטהובן האזין המבקר המוזיקלי לודוויג רלסטאב (Ludwig Rellstab) ליצירה וציין שהיא מזכירה לו את זוהר הירח על פני אגם לוצרן[1], ומכאן כינויה.

זוהי אחת מיצירותיו הידועות והפופולריות של בטהובן בפרט ובמוזיקה הקלאסית בכלל, ולעיתים תכופות מנגנים אותה ואף משמיעים אותה רבות בסרטים.

הסונאטה כתובה בשלושה פרקים:

  1. Adagio sostenuto
  2. Allegretto
  3. Presto agitato

מבנה הפרק הראשון שנוי במחלוקת. יש הגורסים כי מדובר בצורת סונאטה חריגה, ויש הטוענים כי מדובר פשוט בצורה חופשית. המנגינה מנוגנת בעיקר ביד ימין (אותה כינה הקטור ברליוז "קינה") כנגד מקצב טריולות איטי. חלק זה עשה רושם גדול על מאזינים רבים, והפרק מוכר מאוד ומזוהה עם המוזיקה של בטהובן, ולעיתים אף עם המוזיקה הקלאסית בכללה. לדוגמה, ברליוז כתב שזוהי "אחת מהפואמות שהשפה האנושית אינה יודעת להעריך." היצירה הייתה פופולרית מאוד בימיו של בטהובן, על אף ייאושו של המלחין ממנה, שכתב: "מן הסתם כתבתי דברים טובים יותר."

הפרק השני, מינואט וטריו שגרתיים יחסית, מהווה רגע של רוגע, כתוב ברה במול מז'ור. הסולם הזה אנהרמוני לדו דיאז מז'ור, ומהווה את הטוניקה המז'ורית ליצירה, הכתובה בדו דיאז מינור. הצליל המשונה מעט של שמונה התיבות הראשונות הוא התוצאה של המינואט שמתחיל בסולם ה"לא נכון", בלה במול מז'ור הוא הדומיננטה של רה במול. המוזיקה מתיישבת אל תוך רה במול רק במשפט השני, תיבות 5–8.

הפרק האחרון והסוער, Presto agitato, הכתוב בצורת הסונאטה, הוא בעל הכובד הגדול מבין השלושה, ומשקף את ההתנסות של בטהובן (המוצגת גם בסונאטה האחות לה, אופוס 27 מס' 1 ומאוחר יותר באופוס 101) בהצבתו של החלק החשוב ביותר של הסונאטה אחרון. הפרק כולל ארפג'ואים מהירים ותווים בדגשי ספורצנדו. ביצוע הפרק דורש נגינה מיומנת וראוותנית. על הפרק האחרון, כתב צ'ארלס רוזן: "[זהו] חסר הרֶסֶן ביותר בהצגת רגשות. אפילו כיום, מאתיים שנה מאוחר יותר, הפראיות שלו מדהימה". הדינמיקה המוזיקלית בפרק השלישי היא למעשה פיאנו. נראה שהשימוש המרובה של בטהובן בספורצנדו, יחד עם מספר מעברי פורטיסימו, יוצרים תחושה של צליל עוצמתי ביותר למרות הדינמיקה המוחלשת.
