הר הורדן או הר הורדרן (באנגלית: Mount Hordern[1]) הוא הר ברכס דייוויד, שבאנטארקטיקה[2].

גובהו של ההר 1,510[3] מטרים מעל פני הים[2]; והוא ההר ה-3,108 בגובהו באנטארקטיקה[4].

ההר ממוקם 7 קילומטרים דרומית להר קואטס[2].

היסטוריה

גילוי ההר

ההר התגלה בפברואר 1931 על ידי משלחת החקר הבריטית, אוסטרלית וניו זילנדית לאנטארקטיקה בפיקודו של דאגלס מונסון[2].

הראשונים שהגיעו אל ההר היו אנשי משלחת החקר האנטארקטית הלאומית של אוסטרליה בשנת 1956[5].

מקור השם

מוסון קרא להר על שמו של סר סמיואל הורדן (Samuel Hordern)[2], שהיה נותן חסות למשלחת החקר הבריטי, אוסטרלית וניו זילנדית לאנטארקטיקה, וכן למשלחת אוסטרלאסיה לאנטארקטיקה (בין השנים 1911–1914) אף היא בפיקודו של מוסון[2].
