גארפילד הופך לאמיתי (באנגלית: Garfield Gets Real) הוא סרט הנפשה ממוחשבת משנת 2007, בכיכובה של הדמות גארפילד מקומיקס בעל אותו שם. הסרט הופק על ידי ג'ים דייוויס. הוא נכתב על ידי יוצרו של גארפילד, ג'ים דייוויס, שהחל לעבוד על התסריט בסתיו 1996.

זהו סרט האנימציה המלא הראשון של גארפילד מאז פרק הטלוויזיה האחרון ששודר בשנת 1995. הסרט יצא לאקרנים ב-9 באוגוסט 2007, וה-DVD נמכר החל מ-20 בנובמבר 2007.

תקציר העלילה

גארפילד חי עם הכלב אודי ובעליו ג'ון בעיר פרוורית המאוכלסת על ידי דמויות מצוירות בתוך רצועת עולם הקומיקס. גארפילד הוא כוכב הקומיקס, ושגרת חייו אינה משתנה מה שגורם לו להשתעמם ולהיות מתוסכל מחייו. יום אחד במהלך צילומים לקומיקס, נפער חור בקיר של אולפני הצילומים המוביל אל העולם האמיתי, כאשר גארפילד מביט בעגלת נקניקיות הוא חושק בהן וקופץ מהחור כאשר בעקבותיו הכלב אודי. זמן קצר לאחר שגארפילד ואודי עוברים לעולם האמיתי הם מתחילים להבין את הקשיים היום-יומיים האמיתיים.

במהלך טיול בפארק העירוני בעולם האמיתי גארפילד פוגש בחתול רחוב בשם שקי אשר מזמין אותו לארוחת ערב עם חבריו, גארפילד פוגש בחבריו - חתול וחתולה זמרים המעלים מופע ובכך משיגים את מזונם. מאוחר יותר, כשעולה הירח ומגיע הערב, גארפילד נאלץ לישון בבית הרוס. בעקבות הקשיים שעובר גארפילד הוא מתחיל יותר ויותר לרצות לחזור לעיתון, ומבין שבלעדיו אין קומיקס ומכך יוצא להציל את עולמו.

גארפילד ואודי מתחילים לעבור בחינות רבות וקשיים באותו הזמן על מנת לקבל את הרצועה בחזרה, בזכות מכונה שממציאים חבריו של גארפילד מעולם הקומיקס הוא מצליח לחזור ולהבין את משמעות חייו. בנוסף, גארפילד מחליט להעניק לחבריו שפגש בעולם האמיתי פינת קומיקס משלהם על מנת שלא ימשיכו לגור ברחובות.

ביקורת

הסרט זכה לביקורות שליליות רבות ומעריצי הקומיקס התאכזבו ממנו. המבקרים אמרו כי הדמויות חביבות לעיתים נדירות וגארפילד אינו אותו גארפילד אהוב.[1]

אריזת המשחק עבור ה-Wii

ב-17 באוקטובר 2008 יצא משחק פעולה ממוחשב "גארפילד הופך לאמיתי" עבור Wii, המבוסס על הסרט.[2][3][4][5]

ב-21 ביולי 2009 המשחק יצא עבור DS.[6][7][8][9]

שם המשחק זהה לשם הסרט - "גארפילד הופך לאמיתי".
