ג'ף המילטון (באנגלית: Jeff Hamilton; נולד ב-4 באוגוסט 1953) הוא מתופף ג'אז אמריקאי, השותף להובלת תזמורת הג'אז של קלייטון-המילטון, עם ג'ון קלייטון.

קריירת מוזיקה

המילטון נולד ב-4 באוגוסט 1953 בריצ'מונד, אינדיאנה ולמד באוניברסיטת אינדיאנה. משנת 1975 היה חבר בשלישיית מונטי אלכסנדר, ולאחר מכן בתזמורת של וודי הרמן בין השנים 1977–1978. הוא היה חבר ב-L.A. Four, איתה הקליט שישה אלבומים. הוא מוביל את תזמורת הג'אז של קלייטון-המילטון יחד עם ג'ף קלייטון וג'ון קלייטון.[1] הוא גם מוביל שלישייה משלו, עם ג'ון המר (Jon Hamar) על הבס וטמיר הנדלמן על הפסנתר.

המילטון עבד עם אלה פיצג'רלד, רוזמרי קלוני, תזמורת קאונט בייסי, אוסקר פיטרסון וריי בראון. הוא קיים סיבוב הופעות עם דיאנה קרול וניגן בכמה מאלבומיה.

ציוד

המילטון היה בעלים משותף של מצילות הבוספורוס (Bosphorus Cymbals). לאחר מכן הוא הקים חברת מצלתיים משלו, Crescent Cymbals, עם מייקל ווסביין, ביל נורמן והמתופף סטנטון מור. סביאן קנתה את Crescent Cymbals ומפיצה אותם מחדש כ"סדרה מרוקעת ביד". הוא גם מנגן בתופי Mapex Black Panther ובראשי תוף Remo (Fiberskyn 3 Diplomat) והמקלות והמברשות המזוהים איתו.
