ג'ואן מרי "ג'ו" ג'וינר (באנגלית: Joanne Mary "Jo" Joyner; נולדה ב-24 במאי 1977)[1] היא שחקנית אנגלייה הידועה בעיקר בזכות הופעתה בדמות טניה ברנינג באופרת הסבון "איסטאנדרס" של ה-BBC בין השנים 2006 עד 2013. על תפקיד זה זכתה ג'וינר בפרס אופרת הסבון הבריטית (אנ') לשנים 2008 ו-2012.

ב-2014 כיכבה ג'וינר בסדרה הקומית "Trying Again" בתפקיד הראשי בדמות מג. ב-2015 כיכבה בסדרת הדרמה "Ordinary Lies" וגם במיני-סדרה "The Interceptor".

ביוגרפיה

ג'וינר נולדה בהרלו (אנ') שבאסקס.

במקור היא דחתה את התפקיד ב"איסטאנדרס" כי פקפקה ביכולתה להופיע באופרת סבון.[2] היא אמרה "זו הייתה החלטה חשובה. בהתחלה אמרתי לא. לשחק באופרת סבון זה אחריות רבה. אנשים מגוננים על אופרות הסבון ואם אתה גרוע אינך יכול להתחמק מכך".[2] כמו כן אחרי שעבדה בשקט במשך שמונה שנים, ג'וינר לא הייתה בטוחה אם תרצה את רמת התהילה שנלווית להשתתפות ב"איסטאנדרס".

ב-2008 זכתה ג'וינר בפרס "השחקנית הפופולרית ביותר" של פרסי הסבון של דיג'יטל ספיי (אנ') על הופעתה בדמות טניה.[3] היא גם זכתה בפרס "ההופעה הדרמטית הטובה ביותר" מטעם פרסי הסבון הבריטי (אנ'). ב-2012 זכתה בפרס "All About Soap" בקטגוריית השחקנית הטובה ביותר.[4][5] עוד ב-2012 זכו ג'וינר ובן זוגה בסדרה ווד בפרס הסבון הבריטי בקטגוריית "בני הזוג הטובים ביותר על המסך".[6] ב-2012 הייתה ג'וינר מועמדת לפרס "השחקנית הטובה ביותר באופרת סבון" בהצבעה שנערכה על ידי Digital Spy, והגיעה למקום הרביעי עם 13.4% מהקולות.[7]

ב-1 במאי 2012 פורסם שג'וינר תיקח פסק זמן ארוך מהסדרה "איסטאנדרס" בתום החוזה הנוכחי שלה, כדי לבלות יותר זמן עם משפחתה. מקור פנימי הצהיר ש"היא לבטח תחזור".[8] אבל ב-1 באפריל 2013 פורסם שעזיבתה של ג'וינר היא ללא הגבלת זמן, ושהיא רוצה לנסות כיוונים חדשים בקריירה שלה. על כך אמרה ג'וינר "אני אוהבת לשחק את טניה, ולהיות חלק בסדרה גדולה כזו, אבל היא הייתה על רכבת הרים במשך שבע השנים האחרונות, ואני הבנתי שמתאים לה להתרחק קצת מוולפורד. התמזל מזלי להיות חלק מסיפור עליה פנטסטי כזה במשך השנים, ועבדתי עם אנשים נפלאים בתוכנית. על כך אהיה תמיד אסירת תודה. אני מרגישה כאם וכשחקנית שזה הזמן הנכון עבורי לנסות כיוונים חדשים".[9] ב-15 במאי 2013 שיחקה ג'וינר בסצנה האחרונה שלה.[10] ב-28 ביוני 2013 עזבה סופית את הסדרה.

חיים אישיים

ב-2007 התחתנה ג'וינר עם ניל מאדן. היא הרתה בהפריה חוץ-גופית וילדה תאומים.[11][12]
