A daren ranar 5-6 ga watan Mayun 2014, mayaƙan ƙungiyar Boko Haram sun kai hari a tagwayen garuruwan Gamboru da Ngala a jihar Borno, arewa maso gabashin Najeriya.[1] Kimanin mazauna garin 310 ne aka kashe a kisan a harin na tsawon sa’o’i 12, kuma an lalata garin sosai.[2][3][1]
A cikin wannan dare ne Boko Haram suka sace ƴan mata takwas masu shekaru tsakanin 12-15 daga arewa maso gabashin Najeriya,[4][5] daga baya adaɗin ya kai goma sha ɗaya.[6]

Akwai Gamboru jami’an tsaro a sansanin Ngala da suka bar garin kafin a kai harin domin bibiyar waɗanda suka yi garkuwa da ‘yan matan makarantar Chibok.[7]
Ana kallon jihar Borno a matsayin babbar cibiyar Boko Haram.[7] A cewar Sanatan Najeriya Ahmed Zanna da wasu mazauna garin, jami'an tsaron sun bar Gamboru Ngala ne bayan da mayakan Boko Haram suka yaɗa jita-jita cewa an ga ƴan matan makarantar da aka yi garkuwa da su.[8]

Ƴan ta’addar ɗauke da bindigogi kirar AK-47 da RPG, sun kai hari a garin kan wasu motoci sulke guda biyu da suka sace daga hannun sojojin Najeriya watanni da dama da suka gabata.[9] Ƴan ta’addan sun buɗe wuta kan mutanen a wata kasuwa mai cike da cunkoson jama’a da ake buɗewa da daddare lokacin da yanayin zafi ya kwanta.[10] Bayan ƙona gidaje, mayakan sun bindige mutanen da suka yi ƙoƙarin tserewa daga gobarar.[2]
An fara gano adadin waɗanda suka mutu a hukumance su 200 a ranar 7 ga watan Mayu. Zanna da Waziri Hassan wasu mazaunin yankin duk sun ba da rahoton mutuwar aƙalla mutane 336.[9]
