A II Asemblea Nacionalista celebrouse en Santiago de Compostela os días 7, 8 e 9 de novembro de 1919 para debater, entre outros temas, o da autuación políteca.

Desenvolvemento

A Mesa, a proposta de Xaime Quintanilla, quedou constituída por Antón Villar Ponte, como presidente e Xesús Culebras e Tomás Rodríguez como vocais. Interveu Peña Novo e despois presentáronse tres proposicións: a reforma da lei electoral, con implantación do sistema proporcional nas eleccións a deputados a Cortes; a rápida construción do ferrocarril da costa e a posta en vigor do suprimido decreto de Augusto González Besada sobre os consumos.

Vicente Risco logrou que se aprobase a seguinte conclusión:

Os nazonalistas, agora como decote, coidan que o problema galego é un problema de persoalidade, de libertade e de dinidade. Queren todalas descentralizacións políticas e administrativas, mais entenden que ainda conqueridas estas descentralizacións... o problema nazonalista ficaría sen resolvere. Soio ha ter resolución cando sexamos donos dunha persoalidade propia basada no trunfo dunha propia cultura, que nos independice das culturas alleas.

Ademais, aprobouse conmemorar cada 25 de xullo o Día Nacional de Galicia.
