Eligio Núñez Muñoz, nado en Ourense o 2 de abril de 1906[1] e finado en Vilariño Frío (Montederramo) o 1 de novembro de 1936, foi un mestre e político galego.

Traxectoria

Fillo do boticario Antonio Núñez. Foi nomeado mestre titular da escola de Cambeo en abril de 1931. Durante a Segunda República foi membro da Asociación de Trabajadores de la Enseñanza de Orense (ATEO) e colaborador da súa revista Escuela del Trabajo; en agosto de 1932 pasou a ser coordinador da publicación xunto con Luis Soto e Manuel Luis Acuña. Tamén colaborou en La República e Espartaco. Militante do Partido Republicano Radical Socialista, presentouse como candidato ás eleccións a Cortes de 1933. Presentou con Fernando Barcia Veiras e Apolinar Torres o relatorio "Misión de los trabajadores de la enseñanza en el actual momento histórico de la cultura gallega" ao Congreso de Trabajadores de la Enseñanza de Galicia de maio de 1936.[2]

Co golpe de Estado do 18 de xullo de 1936 foi detido en Ourense ao ir coñecer á súa filla Aida, que a súa muller acababa de dar a luz. Foi asasinado o 1 de novembro na Arca Aberta, en Vilariño Frío (Montederramo) con Jacinto Santiago, Fructuoso Manrique Martín e Aquilino Sánchez Rodríguez.

Vida persoal

Casou con Luz Divina Trabazo Fontaiña, tamén mestra, coa que coincidiu en Cambeo. Tivo un primeiro fillo en 1935, Horacio (1935-2020). Luz Divina, que era mestra en Louredo (Maside) cando aconteceu o golpe de Estado, foi sancionada con separación ata 1942. Eligio tiña un irmán que puido agocharse e lle sobreviviu, Martín.
