En bioloxía molecular, o dominio de cohesina é un dominio proteico. Interacciona cun domino complementario denominado dominio dockerina. A interacción cohesina-dockerina é a interacción fundamental necesaria para a formación do complexo no celulosoma de certas bacterias (o celulosoma é un complexo multiencimático extracelular unido á parede bacteriana que degrada celulosa).[1]

O compoñente scaffoldina da bacteria celulolítica Clostridium thermocellum é unha proteína non hidrolítica que organiza os encimas hidrolíticos nun gran complexo, chamado celulosoma. A scaffoldina comprende unha serie de dominios funcionais, entre os cales está un único dominio de unión á celulosa e nove dominios de cohesina, que son responsables de integrar as subunidades encimáticas individuais no complexo.
