Zygarde (ジガルデ, Zygarde?) est une espèce de Pokémon de la sixième génération.

Issu de la célèbre franchise de médias créée par Satoshi Tajiri, il apparaît dans une collection de jeux vidéo et de cartes, dans une série d'animation, plusieurs films, et d'autres produits dérivés, il est imaginés par l'équipe de Game Freak et dessinés par Ken Sugimori. Sa première apparition a lieu en 2013, dans les jeux vidéo Pokémon X et Pokémon Y. Ce Pokémon est du double type dragon et sol et occupe le 718e emplacement du Pokédex, l'encyclopédie fictive recensant les différentes espèces de Pokémon.

Conception graphique

Zygarde est un Pokémon dont la forme et le second type (sol) sont inspirés de la mythologie nordique, et plus précisément de Jormungand le serpent des mers. La version incomplète rappelle d'ailleurs Fenrir (loup géant appartenant lui aussi à la mythologie nordique), et la complète rappelant ainsi Hel (la dualité vie/mort apparaissant sur le Pokemon).

Nintendo choisit de donner aux Pokémon des noms « astucieux et descriptifs », liés à l'apparence ou aux pouvoirs des créatures, lors de la traduction des jeux ; il s'agit d'un moyen de rendre les personnages plus compréhensibles pour les enfants, notamment américains[1].

Il est le numéro 718 du Pokédex national et son talent est Aura inversée.

Apparition

Jeux vidéo

Zygarde apparaît pour la première fois dans les jeux Pokémon X et Pokémon Y. On le trouve au fond d'une grotte nommée grotte Coda.

Il fait son retour dans les jeux Pokémon Soleil et Pokémon Lune. Cette fois-ci, il faut parcourir la carte du jeu et trouver les 100 divisions de Zygarde qui y sont éparpillées. Selon le nombre de cellules obtenues (10, 50 ou 100) il est possible de reconstituer ce Pokémon à une forme plus ou moins proche de sa forme complète.

Zygarde apparaît dans pokémon série xyz et aussi dans le 19e film Pokémon (Volcanion et la merveille mécanique) et dans la saison 19.
