Cet article présente la dix-neuvième saison de la série télévisée Inspecteur Barnaby.

Synopsis

Le sergent Jamie Winter remplace le sergent Charlie Nelson aux côtés de l'inspecteur Barnaby, toujours épaulé du Dr Kam Karimore, pour résoudre les enquêtes du comté de Midsomer.

    • Synopsis
    Un jeune homme est écrasé par un char d'assaut dans le village abandonné de "Little Auburn". La victime, Finn Thornberry, participait avec sa fiancée, Corina Craven, à un appel d'offres portant sur la remise en activité de ce village chargé d'histoire. Trois projets sont en lice : l'éco-village proposé par Finn Thornberry et Corina Craven ; le village musée de Sylvia Lennard, une vieille dame native du village, et enfin le projet de villas de luxe de Lucie et Blake Keswick. "Little Auburn" appartient à Roderick Craven, le père de Corina, et le lieu a abrité lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale une base militaire. Alors que les habitants attendent de connaître le résultat de l'appel d'offre, le corps sans vie de Roderick Craven est retrouvé. La victime a été empoisonnée au cyanure selon la légiste Kim Karimore. Et lorsqu'un troisième meurtre est commis sur la personne de Milo, le frère de Roderick Craven, John Barnaby, secondé par le sergent Jamie Winter, va mettre en lumière les conflits de successions depuis des générations de la famille Craven..

    Le boucher Angus Colton est retrouvé mort dans sa chambre froide. L'enquête confronte Barnaby à la Bleakridge Watch, une milice citoyenne créée et dirigée d'une main de fer par Ingrid Lockston après que son frère a été tué par un chauffard non identifié, et qui ne fait pas l'unanimité dans le village.

    • Synopsis
    Un tournoi de cricket à Lower Pampling tente de promouvoir de nouvelles règles, le C-10, pour rendre le sport plus moderne et attractif. Le meurtre du capitaine de l'équipe de C-10 locale après une belle victoire dans le tournoi semble trouver sa source dans la rivalité entre les partisans du cricket traditionnel et les promoteurs de la nouvelle version. Mais Barnaby comprend vite que l'affaire est plus complexe qu'il n'y parait lorsqu'un des témoins, Jack Morris, se révèle être l'ex-sergent Ben Jones en mission d’infiltration pour une enquête parallèle.

    Synopsis
    Une femme s'échappe du séminaire "le cercle des amis de Jane Austen". Elle est retrouvée dans les bois, sans vie. Habillée en tenue d'époque, une plume d'oie à ses côtés. Pour résoudre cette affaire, Barnaby va se confronter à l'ultra modernisme du XXIe siècle et faire une plongée dans le très chic XIXe siècle.
