« Clanker » est un terme péjoratif anglo-saxon désignant les robots et les logiciels d'intelligence artificielle (IA)[1]. Il a été utilisé dans l'univers Star Wars, notamment dans le jeu vidéo Star Wars: Republic Commando ( 2005). Depuis 2025, ce terme est couramment utilisé pour exprimer la haine ou le dégoût envers les machines, des robots de livraison aux grands modèles de langage. Cette tendance est attribuée à l'inquiétude suscitée par les effets sociétaux négatifs de l'IA.
