Andrey Atuchin, né le à Prokopievsk, est un illustrateur scientifique, paléoartiste et biologiste russe. Il est connu pour ses reconstitutions d’animaux disparus, réalisées dans un style clair et détaillé souvent rapproché des illustrations classiques du National Geographic[1]. Atuchin a collaboré avec des paléontologues du monde entier pour illustrer des espèces nouvellement décrites dans des articles scientifiques et des communiqués, par exemple Kulindadromeus zabaikalicus (2014)[2], le pliosaure Luskhan itilensis (2017)[3], ou encore l’ankylosaure Akainacephalus johnsoni (en) (2018)[4].

En 2020, il reçoit, dans la catégorie « Scientific Illustration », le John J. Lanzendorf (en) PaleoArt Prize décerné par la Society of Vertebrate Paleontology[5].
