Yaizu (jap. 焼津市, Yaizu-shi) on Japanin kaupunki Honshūn saarella Chūbun tai Tōkain alueella Shizuokan prefektuurissa. Se sijaitsee Tyynenmeren Suruganlahden rannikolla prefektuurin keskiosassa. Kaupunki on rakentunut Setojoen alluviaalitasangolle. Etelässä se rajautuu Ōijokeen, pohjoisessa siihen kuuluu alueita Takakusavuorelta.[3][4][1] Yaizussa on 139 187 asukasta (huhtikuussa 2020)[2] ja sen pinta-ala on 70,31 neliökilometriä.[1]

Yaizu kehittyi Edo-kaudella kalastussatamana ja laivastotukikohtana. 1900-luvun alkupuolella siitä kasvoi nopeasti tärkeä Tyynenmeren kalastuksen tukikohta, jonka tärkeimpiä saaliskaloja ovat tonnikala, boniitti ja makrillit (saba). Sittemmin kalastuksen edellytykset ovat heikentyneet, mutta vuonna 2018 Yaizu oli kokonaissaaliilla mitattuna vielä Japanin toiseksi suurin kalastussatama. Kaupungissa on myös panimoteollisuutta ja elintarviketeollisuutta, kuten säilykkeiden ja katsuobushin tuotantoa. Lisäksi siellä harjoitetaan ankeriaiden vesiviljelyä. Maaseutualueilla tuotetaan riisiä, vihanneksia, teetä ja mikan-mandariineja. Kaupunkioikeudet Yaizulle myönnettiin vuonna 1951. Kaupunki laajeni huomattavasti vuonna 2008, kun siihen liitettiin Ōigawan maaseutukaupunki.[3][4][1]

Yaizun rakennettuun kulttuuriperintöön kuuluvat Yaizu-jinjan šintolainen pyhäkkö, bodhisattva Kokūzōlle omistettu Kōshū-jin buddhalainen temppeli ja Lafcadio Hearnin elämään liittyvät muistomerkit. Eräs luonnonnähtävyys on jyrkkärinteinen, Shizuokan kaupungin puolelle jatkuva Ōkuzuren rannikkoalue. Yaizua palvelee JR Tōkain Tōkaidō-päälinja.[3][4]
