Ulla Väistö

Ulla Marianna Väistö (s. 1. lokakuuta 1948 Seinäjoki)[1] on suomalainen diplomaatti. Hän toimi Suomen suurlähettiläänä Romaniassa Bukarestin suurlähetystössä 2011–2015.[2] Hän toimi Bukarestista käsin myös Moldovan suurlähettiläänä.[3] Vuosina 2007–2011 Väistö oli Meksikon, Belizen, Haitin ja Kuuban suurlähettiläs. Koulutukseltaan hän on kauppatieteen maisteri.

Väistö astui ulkoasiainministeriön palvelukseen vuonna 1976. Hän on työskennellyt suurlähetystöissä Brysselissä, Wienissä, Bonnissa ja Pariisissa sekä Strasbourgissa Suomen pysyvässä edustustossa. Ulkoasiainministeriön lähetystöneuvos hän oli 1.8.1992 alkaen. Ministeriössä hän oli hallinnollisen osaston päällikkö vuosina 2004–2007 ja vuosina 2001–2004 henkilöstöjohtaja.[4][1]

Väistön vanhemmat olivat koulutoimenjohtaja Ahti Aukusti Väistö ja pankkivirkailija Anna-Maria Järstä.[1]
