Paula Repo

Paula Repo (4. helmikuuta 1900 Utra, Kontiolahti – 17. tammikuuta 1988)[1][2] oli suomalainen kirjailija.[3]

Repo tuli ylioppilaaksi 1918. Hän sai hospitanttitodistuksen Sortavalan seminaarista 1921. Repo toimi opettajana Värtsilän kansakoulussa yhden lukukauden vuonna 1919 ja Värtsilän yhteiskoulussa vuosina 1921–1924. Repo opiskeli Helsingin Yliopistossa ja teki opintomatkoja Saksaan 1923 ja 1935, Italiaan 1923 ja Tanskaan 1925.[1][3]

Kirjailija Jaakko Yli-Juonikas tarkastelee artikkelissaan[4] Revon vuonna 1945 julkaisemaa eläinfaabelikokoelmaa "Lapsi ja Satakieli" tekijän elämäkertatietoja vasten, jotka on tallennettu psykoterapeutti Allan Johanssonin teokseen[5] "Skitsofrenia: sairaus vai elämänmuoto?". Repo päätyi Johanssonin yksityisvastaanotolle vuonna 1955. Tuolloin hän oli sairastanut skitsofreniaa jo yli neljännesvuosisadan.[4][5] Johanssonin mukaan Repo luovutti hänelle 107 kirjoittamaansa runoa käsittävän käsikirjoituksen 10–15 vuoden ajalta vuonna 1980, joita ei lopulta kustannettu tekijän korkean iän vuoksi.[5]

Revon vanhemmat olivat nimismies Wladimir Repo ja opettaja Anni Riitta (o.s. Muttonen).[1][3]
