Karl Wilhelm Sulin

Karl Wilhelm Sulin (18. syyskuuta 1839 Rauma – 8. helmikuuta 1897 Ikaalinen)[1] oli suomalainen juristi ja valtiopäivämies.[2]

Sulinin vanhemmat olivat kirkkoherra Benjamin Sulin ja Lovisa Emilia Forsinius ja puoliso vuodesta 1895 Maria Sofia Andersson (k. 1945). Sulin valmistui filosofian kandidaatiksi 1863 ja lakitieteen kandidaatiksi 1867. Toimittuaan ensin Turun hovioikeudessa Sulin siirtyi Viipurin hovioikeuden sihteeriksi 1878 ja seuraavana vuonna hänestä tuli hovioikeuden asessori. Vuonna 1882 hänestä tuli Turun hovioikeuden asessori ja 1889 Ikaalisten tuomiokunnan tuomari. Sulinin erikoisalaa oli rikosoikeus, 1878 hänestä tuli sotaväen rikoslakien valmistelleen komitean jäsen ja sihteeri ja 1880 taas vuoden 1875 rikoslakiehdotusta tarkastavan komitean jäsen.[2]

Sulin oli porvarissäädyssä Turun edustajana valtiopäivillä 1888, toimien niiden rikoslakivaliokunnassa.[3] Jo vuonna 1872 Sulin julkaisi Karl Kristian Sjörosin kanssa ruotsiksi vuoden 1734 lain lisäyksineen, muutoksineen ja selityksineen, mistä hän toimitti yhteensä viisi myöhempää painosta. Suomalaisen Kirjallisuuden Seuran 1877 julkaisema suomenkielinen lakiteos perustui mainittuun kirjaan.[2]
