Historia

Seura perustettiin vuonna 1970 nimellä KK Siget. Tätä nimeä käytettiin kuusi vuotta, jonka jälkeen nimeksi vaihdettiin OKK Novi Zagreb.[1] Joukkue nousi Jugoslavian pääsarjaan kaudeksi 1989–1990, jolloin se sijoittui yhdeksänneksi kahdentoista joukkueen sarjassa.[2] Vuodesta 1991 lähtien seura käytti itsestään nimeä KK Zagreb. Kansainvälisissä sarjoissa Zagreb pääsi parhaimmillaan puolivälieriin vuosien 1993, 2008 ja 2010 Korać Cupissa sekä EuroChallengessa. Ensimmäisen mestaruuden seura voitti vuonna 2008, jolloin se voitti Kroatian cup-mestaruuden.[1] Vuonna 2011 Zagreb voitti ensimmäisen Kroatian mestaruuden, minkä myötä se osallistuu kauden 2011–2012 Euroliigaan.[3]
