Juhana Aunesluoma

Juhana Hannu Aunesluoma (s. 6. heinäkuuta 1967 Helsinki)[1] on suomalainen poliittisen historian professori Helsingin yliopistossa. Hänen tutkimuskohteitaan ovat erityisesti kansainvälinen ja eurooppalainen lähihistoria ja Euroopan turvallisuuden, kaupan ja instituutioiden kehitys toisen maailmansodan jälkeen.[2]

Aunesluoma valmistui ylioppilaaksi Sibelius-lukiosta 1986 ja yhteiskuntatieteiden maisteriksi poliittisesta historiasta Helsingin yliopistosta 1993. Hän väitteli filosofian tohtoriksi historiasta Oxfordin yliopistossa vuonna 1998 väitöskirjalla Britain, Sweden and the Cold War 1945–1954.[1]

Aunesluoma on aiemmin toiminut Helsingin yliopistossa muun muassa yliopistonlehtorina ja Eurooppa-tutkimuksen keskuksen tutkimusjohtajana. Vuosina 2015–2017 hän oli vierailevana professorina Minnesotan yliopistossa, missä hän opetti Euroopan historiaa. Ennen nimitystään professoriksi Aunesluoma toimi valtiotieteellisen tiedekunnan varadekaanina vuodesta 2018.[1][3] Aunesluoma on yksi Historioitsijat ilman rajoja -yhdistyksen perustajajäsenistä.[4]

Keväällä 2022 Aunesluoma valittiin Suomalaisen Tiedeakatemian jäseneksi.[5]
