John Sculley

John Sculley

John Sculley (s. 6. huhtikuuta 1939) on yhdysvaltalainen liikemies, joka toimi PepsiCon toimitusjohtajana vuosina 1977–1982 ja Applen toimitusjohtajana vuosina 1983–1993. Nykyäänmilloin? Sculley toimii Sculley Brother -sijoitusyhtiössä. Sculley oli mukana nostamassa Pepsin suosiota Coca Colan ohitse 70-luvun alkupuolella järjestetyn The Pepsi Challenge -markkinointikampajan avulla. Applella Sculley vaikutti Macintoshien tunnetuksi tekemiseen ja hänen johdollaan Apple käytti suuria summia Macintoshien mainoskampanjoihin.

Toukokuussa 1987 Sculley oli Piilaakson parhaiten palkattu toimitusjohtaja, kuitaten vuodessa 2,2 miljoonaa dollaria.

Jätettyään Applen Sculley siirtyi Spectrum Information Technologies -nimisen teknologiayhtiön toimitusjohtajaksi. Sculley ehti toimia tehtävässään vain joitakin kuukausia ennen eroamistaan. Eron taustalla olivat yhtiön kirjanpidosta paljastuneet epäselvyydet, jotka olivat syntyneet ennen kuin Sculley aloitti yhtiössä. Spectrum Information Technologiesista erottuaan Sculley on esiintynyt julkisuudessa vain harvakseltaan.[1]
