Giselher Klebe (2008)

Giselher Klebe (28. kesäkuuta 1925 Mannheim – 5. lokakuuta 2009 Detmold) oli saksalainen säveltäjä.[1][2]

Klebe auttoi natsi-Saksan aikana taidemaalari Fritz Ohsea Gestapolta piilottelemisessa. Hän tapasi myös muita kuvataiteilijoita, joiden teokset olivat kiellettyjä, esimerkiksi Paul Kleetä. Hän tutustui kiellettyjen teosten säveltäjien, kuten Arnold Schönbergin ja Igor Stravinskyn työhön. Toisen maailmansodan jälkeen Klebe opiskeli Josef Ruferin ja Boris Blacherin johdolla.[2] Hän itse toimi sävellysprofessorina Detmoldin musiikkikorkeakoulussa vuodesta 1962.[3]

1950–1960-luvuilla Klebe sai huomiota dodekafonisilla teoksillaan esimerkiksi Darmstadtissa, ja hänen teoksiaan esitettiin aikakauden musiikkiin keskittyneissä radio-ohjelmissa. Vaikka Kleben harmoniat perustuivat sarjallisiin prosesseihin, hän ei tyylissään välttänyt tonaalisuudelle ominaisia sointuja. Hän lisäsi tyyliinsä sen kehittyessä 1960-luvulla muutenkin perinteisempiä aineksia. Vuodelta 1957 on Kleben ensimmäinen ooppera, Die Räuber. Hänen myöhempiin oopperoihinsa kuuluvat Die tödlichen Wünsche (1959/1962) ja Jacobowsky und der Oberst (1964/1965).[4] Kleben tuotantoon kuuluu myös esimerkiksi kolme jousikvartettoa, muuta kamarimusiikkia[2], Stabat Mater (1964), balettisinfonia Das Testament (1972)[4] ja Poèma drammatico (konsertto kahdelle pianolle ja orkesterille, 1999). Poèma drammatico sisältää lainauksia Giuseppe Verdiltä, joka vaikutti myös Kleben oopperoihin.[2]

Klebe sai Detmoldin kunniakaupunkilaisen arvon lokakuussa 2002. Vuodelta 2007 on hänen viimeinen oopperansa Chlestakows Wiederkehr, joka kantaesitettiin Landestheater Detmoldissa. Klebe kuoli vaikean sairauden jälkeen 84-vuotiaana.[3]
