Eero Valkonen

Eero Valkonen on turkulainen rumpali ja kulttuuritutkija. Hän teki filosofian lisensiaatintyönsä kulttuurihistoriasta Turun yliopistossa vuonna 1997 aiheenaan jääkiekko viihdeliiketoimintana.[1]

Valkosen muusikonura alkoi joulukuussa 1970 Puolalanmäen yhteislyseon puurojuhlassa, jossa hän soitti instrumentaalista bluesia triokokoonpanolla. Tämän jälkeen hän siirtyi yhtyeseen Wälirauha. Sen jälkeen seurasivat muun muassa yhtyeet Kaamos, Kopra, Yellow, Dead End 5, The Streets, Okko Band, RA, SIG ja Ismo & Electrick Elephants. Hollannissa asuessaan 2000-luvulla Valkonen soitti kahdessa yhtyeessä. Uransa varrella hän on säestänyt muun muassa Irwiniä ja Mikko Alataloa sekä soittanut Pekka Pohjolan,Tommy Mansfieldin ja Vesa-Matti Loirin kanssa jameissa.
