Amanda Lovelace on yhdysvaltalainen runoilija. Hän on julkaissut useita runokokoelmia kuten Goodreads Choice Award -palkitun Tässä prinsessa pelastaa itsensä.

Koulutus ja ura

Lovelace on valmistunut Kean Universitystä pääaineena englannin kieli ja sivuaineena sosiologia.[2]

Lovelace julkaisi ensimmäisen runokokoelmansa Tässä prinsessa pelastaa itsensä omakustanteena vuonna 2016, ennen kuin Andrews McNeel -kustantamo hankki sen julkaisuoikeudet. He julkaisivat myös Lovelace kaksi seuraavaa runokokoelmaa.[3]

Lovelacen mukaan hän haluaa runoillaan "kuvata naisten rikasta sisäistä elämää ja keskittyä piilossa oleviin jokapäiväisiin kamppailuihin". Vaikka hänen toinen kokoelmansa The Witch Doesn't Burn in This One "puhuttelee selvästi nykyilmapiiriä", se oli valmistunut ennen Me Too -kampanjan heräämistä. Lovelace pitää sitä Me Too -kirjana siitä huolimatta, ja toteaa kirjoittavansa aiheesta lisää.[4]

Lovelacen kolmas teos To Make Monsters Out of Girls julkaistiin vuonna 2018.[5]
