Alberto Fassini

Alberto Fassini vuonna 1935.

Alberto Fassini (8. huhtikuuta 1875 Moncalvo, Astin maakunta – 8. lokakuuta 1942 Rooma) oli italialainen liikemies, poliitikko ja elokuvatuottaja.

Fassini syntyi piemontelaiseen pienaateliin kuuluneen sisäasiainministeriön virkailijan perheeseen. Hän opiskeli meriakatemiassa ja palveli laivastossa. Fassini jätti aktiivipalveluksen luutnanttina vuonna 1900 ja työskenteli sen jälkeen pankkialalla. Vuodesta 1912 lähtien hän toimi laajan keinokuituteollisuuden omistajana ja johtajana.[1] Fassini johti myös elokuvayhtiö Cinesiä ja vuonna 1919 perustettua Unione Cinematografica Italiana -konsortiota[2].

Fassini osallistui Libyan valloitukseen ja komensi aluksia ensimmäisessä maailmansodassa. Hänen taloudellisia etujaan edisti aktiivinen yhteistyö Italian fasistien kanssa. Fassini liittyi Kansalliseen fasistipuolueeseen vuonna 1921 ja toimi vuodesta 1927 lähtien tekstiiliteollisuuden liiton ja Italian matkailuyhtiön johtajana. 1930-luvulla Fassini oli myös fasistien lainsäädäntöelimen kansanedustaja ja korporaatioiden keskuskomitean jäsen. Hän sai paronin arvon vuonna 1924.[1]
