Yanomamiak Amerikako etnia indigena bat dira. Brasil iparraldean eta Venezuela hegoaldean bizi dira. 30 eta 150 arteko kideko herrixketan bizi dira, famili taldeetan antolatuta.
Ehiza eta nekazaritza izaten dute bizibide: lursoro bat agortzen zaienean, herrixka lekuz aldatzen dute.
Klimari egokitzen zaion oso janzkera xumea eramaten dute, kolore biziz margotzen dira eta lumez eta lepokoez apaindu.
Gaur egun 22.000 bat yanomami daudela uste da.
