Transgenero
Transgenero hitzak jaiotzerakoan esleitutako generoarekin bat ez datorren genero nortasuna duten pertsonak izendatzen ditu.
Hitza, orokorrean, genero-nortasun egoerari lotzen zaio (nork bere burua gizonezkotzat jotzea, emakumezkotzat, bi generokotzat, batekotzat ere ez, eta abar), nortasun hori jaiotzan esleitutako generoarekin bat ez datorrenean (besteok kromosomen edo genitalen arabera emakumezko edo gizonezkotzat identifikatzen duten generoa). Genero binariotik (emakume ala gizon) urruntzen diren norbanako, portaera edo talde anitzei ere egokitzen zaie.
Transgenero hitzaren kontrako gisa erabili ohi da zisgenero hitza, hots, jaiotzan esleitu zaion generoarekin bat datorren nortasuna duena.
