Sexu-organo

Sexu-organo edo ugalketa-organo bizidun konplexuen gorputzetan aurki daitekeen atal anatomikoa da. Ugalketa sexualean hartzen du parte eta ugaltze-aparatuaren ataletako bat da. Animaliatan dauden kanpoko sexu-organoak, ar zein emetan, sexu-organo primarioak dira eta genital gisa ezagutzen dira. Barneko sexu-organoak, edo ikusten ez direnak, sexu-organo sekundario gisa ezagutzen dira. Nerabezaroan agertzen diren ezaugarriak, adibide gisa gizakiengan agertzen den pubiseko ilea bi sexuetan zein aurpegiko ileak batez ere gizonengan, karaktere sexual sekundario deitzen dira.

Goroldio, iratxe eta antzeko landareek gametangioak dituzte sexu-organo gisa, gametofitoaren parte. Loreek edo loredun landareek polena eta obuluak ekoizten dituzten, baina sexu-organoak polenaren eta obuloaren gametofitoaren barruan daude. Koniferak eta antzekoek euren ugalketa sexualerako egiturak pinaburu eta polenaren barruko gametofitoetan dituzte. Pinaburuak edo polena ez dira, bere horretan, sexu-organoak.
