Omikron anduia, PANGO Aldaera Identifikatzaileare arabera B.1.1.529, GISAID klado identifikatzailearen arabera GR/484A, eta Nextstrain klado identifikatzailearen arabera 21K[1], SARS-CoV-2 birusaren andui bat da, COVID-19 gaixotasuna sortzen duen birusa. Lehen aldiz Botswanan aurkitu zen, 2021eko azaroaren 9an[2]. 2021eko azaroaren 26an Munduko Osasun Erakundeak aldaera kezkagarri gisa sailkatu zuen eta omikron letra ezarri zion[3][4][5].

Aldaerak mutazio ugari ditu, horietako asko berriak, eta askok espikularen proteinari eragiten diote, COVID-19aren aurkako txertoak diseinatzeko erabili den proteina nagusia. Mutazio maila honek kezkak eragin ditu bere kutsakortasunarengatik, immunitate-sistemaren ebasioarengatik eta txertoekiko erresistentzia aukerengatik. Ondorioz, azkar adierazi zen kezkagarria zela, eta herrialde batzuek bidaia mugak ezarri dituzte nazioarteko hedapena gelditu asmoz.
