Ooteka (grezieratik, óon, "arrautza" eta theke, "biltegi")[1] espezie desberdinetako batez ere intsektu eta molusko emeek arrautzak erruten dituzten babes estalkia da.[2] Ooteka batek arrautza gutxi izaten du, karratu formakoak, proteina apartsu batez; proteina horrek, metanoaren kontaktuarekin, babesteko estalki bat sortzen du.[3]
