Metalol
Metalolak ziklopentadienoren deribatuak dira non 5. posizioan dagoen karbono-atomoa heteroatomo batez ordezkatu den. Ziklopentadienoaren kasuan ez bezala, metalolen atomoen zenbakuntza heteroatomoan hasten da.
Metalolak jo daitezke, halaber, pirrolaren egitura-analogotzat.
Metalol asko fluoreszenteak izaten dira eta aplikazio optikoak izaten dituzte[1]. Pirrolaren eta tiofenoaren deribatu polimeriko batzuk ezaugarri interesgarriak dituzte elektronika molekularrean usatuak izateko.
