Citroën Frantziako automobil-fabrikatzailea da, PSA industria-multzoko kidea. Citroën automobil-markaren sortzailea André Citroën enpresa-gizona izan zen. 1919an automobiletan espezializatzea erabaki zuen, eta A modeloa sortu zuen; 1922an B2 egin zuen, 10 ZP-koa.

Beste modelo aipagarriak izan ziren 1970eko hamarraldiko CX edo 1990eko hamarraldiko XM. Modelo modernoen artean emaitza onenak eman dituen automobila 1986ko AX txikia izan da.

1974an, elkartearen arazo ekonomikoak zirela eta, Peugeot etxearekin bat egin zuen, eta PSA taldea osatu zuten. Gaur egun talde horretako automobilek teknika-soluzio berritzaileak erabili ohi dituzte, eta sortu dituzten diesel motorrek ospe handia izan dute.
