Cachapa arto-irinez egindako Venezuelako plater tradizionala da. Arepak bezala, ezagunak dira errepide bazterretako harmailetan. Arto-ore freskoko opiltxoak bezala egin daitezke, edo arto-hosto lehorretan bildu eta irakin (cachapa de hoja).[1] Barietate ohikoenak lehorreko arto freskoarekin egiten dira, ore lodi batean (arrautza, irina eta esnea) nahasita eta budare baten gainean egosita, opiltxoak bezala; cachapa apur bat lodiagoa eta pikortsuagoa da arto-aleen zatiengatik.
Cachapak tradizionalki queso de mano gaztarekin (eskuz egindako gazta) jaten dira, mozzarella antzeko gazta bigun batekin, eta, tarteka, txerri txintxorta frijituarekin alboan. Cachapak oso landuak izan daitezke, batzuk gazta mota desberdinak, esne krema edo marmelada barne. Aperitibo gisa presta daitezke, oro har margarinarekin, edo gosari oso gisa, queso de mano gaztarekin eta txerri frijituarekin.
Costa Rica-n, chorreadak antzekoak dira.[2]
