Jeremías es un nombre propio masculino teofórico de origen hebreo (ירמיהו Yrm'yhw exaltación de YHVH , helenizado Ἰερεμίας Ieremías) se ha extendido en la cultura occidental debido a la influencia del cristianismo. Su variante femenino es Jeremiasa.
