Urbanizado

Urbanizado [1], kiel neologismo, aŭ Urbigo en pli propra Esperanto estas la fizika kreskoprocezo de urbaj areoj kiel rezulto de elkampara migrado kaj eĉ antaŭurba koncentriĝo en grandurbojn, precipe ĉe la plej grandaj. La Unuiĝintaj Nacioj projekciis ke duono de la populacio de la mondo vivos en urbaj areoj ĉe la fino de 2008.[2] Por 2050 estas antaŭdirite ke 64.1% kaj 85.9% de la evoluiga kaj evoluinta mondo respektive estos urbanizitaj.[3]

Urbigo estas proksime ligita al modernigo, industriiĝo, kaj la sociologia procezo de raciigo. Urbigo povas priskribi specifan kondiĉon en fiksita tempo, t.e. la proporcion de totala populacio aŭ areo en grandurboj aŭ urboj, aŭ la esprimo povas priskribi la pliiĝon de tiu proporcio dum tempo. Tiel la esprimo urbigo povas reprezenti la nivelon de urba relative al totala populacio, aŭ ĝi povas reprezenti la indicon ĉe kiu la urba proporcio pliiĝas.

Urbigo ne estas simple moderna fenomeno, sed rapida kaj historia transformo de homaj sociaj radikoj sur tutmonda skalo, per kio ĉefe rura kulturo estas rapide anstataŭigita per ĉefe urba kulturo. La lasta grava ŝanĝo en setlejaj padronoj estis la amasiĝo de ĉasistoj-kolektistoj en vilaĝojn antaŭ multaj jarmiloj. Rura kulturo estas karakterizita fare de maletendaj genealogiaj arboj, intimaj rilatoj, kaj komunuma konduto dum urba kulturo estas karakterizita fare de disaj genealogiaj arboj, nekonataj rilatoj, kaj konkurenca konduto.
