Popolrakonto

Popolrakonto aŭ tradicia rakonto estas mallonga rakonto, de anonima aŭtoro, kiu rakontas fikciajn okazaĵojn. Apartenante al la parola tradicio, la tradicia rakonto pluas tra variantoj. Tio estas, ĉiam kiam oni rakontas rakonton ĉu parole ĉu skribe, oni produktas novan version, diferencan de alia antaŭa. En la tradicia rakonto kombiniĝas realaj objektoj kun fantaziaj aferoj, por ekzemplo (la magia lampo de Aladino, la bastoneto de sorĉistino ktp).

Popolaj rakontoj estas diferencaj disde la literaturaj rakontoj en tio ke tiuj uzas multajn literaturajn rimedojn kiuj celas generi pli bonkvalitan rezulton dum la tradiciaj rakontoj estas rakontitaj spontane kaj rekte sen tioma kapablo imagi vortorimedojn. Tamen en multaj epokoj kaj kulturoj popolrakontoj eniris en skribaj kompilaĵoj, kiuj famiĝis kaj interplektis ambaŭ tendencojn, kiel ekzemple ĉe la prahinda kulturo en Panĉatantra, ĉe iran-araba tradicio en Mil kaj unu noktoj, kio translokiĝis en la 14-a jarcento al mezepoka Eŭropo ekzemple en Kastilion al El conde Lucanor, en Italion al Dekamerono, en Anglion al The Canterbury Tales.

Vladimir Propp estis rusa fakulo kiu dediĉis sin al studado kaj analizo de tradiciaj rakontoj.​ Li legis kaj komparis multaj el ili kaj la rezulto estis libro, nome Morfologio de la popolrakonto, en kiu li klarigis komunajn trajtojn. Resume en plimulto el ili okazas jeno:

  • Helpoj: la ĉefrolulo ricevas realan au magian helpon de aliaj roluloj. Tial li sukcesas superi pruvojn.
  • Fincelo: la ĉefrolulo sukcesas atingi sian celon. La fino ĉiam estas fermita kaj feliĉa. Normale okazas ŝanĝo de «statuso», tio estas, de socia kategorio (almozulo iĝas riĉa, servistino iĝas senjorino).
