Luthern estas komunumo en la distrikto Willisau en Kantono Lucerno, Svislando. Ĝi havis 1369 loĝantojn je la 31-a de decembro 2008.

Geografio

La komunumo Luthern situas sude de la monto Napf en la valo de la samnoma rivero, kies fonto troviĝas sub la monto Napf sur la komunuma teritorio. La teritorio de la komunumo konsistas el monteta kamparo kun profundaj ravinoj. Ĝia longeco estas 12,5 km de sudo al nordo, ĝia larĝeco de oriento al okcidento 5 km. Al la komunumo apartenas krom la ĉefvilaĝo Luthern mem la vilaĝetoj Luthern-Bad, Hofstatt, Flühlen kaj krome multnombraj izolitaj bienoj.

Trafiko

Luthern estas konektita al la publika transportreto per la poŝtaŭtolinio de Hüswil tra Luthern al Luthernbad. La komunumo situas flanke de la gravaj trafikvojoj. La plej proksima alveturejo al la svisa aŭtovojo A2 situas nordoriente en Dagmersellen en distanco de 25 km.

Historio

La unua dokumenta mencio de Luthern datiĝas el la jaro 1275 kiel Lutrun.

En la jaro 1283 la tiamaj posedantoj la Baronoj de Affoltern vendis la valon al la Kavaliroj de Hünenberg, kiuj ĝin vendis en la jaro 1414 al Ueli Hugi kaj Hensli Bircher. Bircher pluvendis sian parton al la urbo Lucero, kial ĝi fariĝis parto de la lucerna voktejo Willisau, el kiu post la Helveta Revolucio en la jaro 1798 fariĝis helveta distrikto, kaj per la restaŭracio de la jaro 1803 la distrikto Willisau de Kantono Lucerno [2].
