| 2026-08-07 15:25 | General-purpose markup language | Unlike for programming languages (GPL/DPL) and modelling languages (Domain-specific modeling DSM), there is no "Domain-specific markup language" article. Thus there is no reason to call a markup language general purpose. In the first place the concept of general purpose and domain specific data storage formats doesn't have much relevance. | 2026-08-09 07:43 | Waldrada of Worms (9th-century Frankish noblewoman) | No sources found apart from genealogy websites and books, and Wikipedia is WP:NOTGENEALOGY. Article was created by a single-purpose account in 2009 and could even be a carefully crafted, long-running WP:HOAX. There is in fact a Waldrada of Lotharingia who was excommunicated circa 867, but this is not the same Waldrada! The article asserts a husband and child, but the corresponding pages do not mention her and even contradict her existence, as do their sources. Fails WP:V and WP:BASIC, let alone WP:GNG. | 2026-08-05 03:25 | List of compositions in just intonation (Wikimedia list of musical works) | How does this list benefit Wikipedia? It has 78 entries. 22 of those are from Harry Partch. Another 11 are by Ben Johnston. There is only one La Monte Young work, despite just intonation being the preoccupation of much of his music.
There are no clear criteria for inclusion. Why does the list begin in 1900, for example? Lists like this attract self-promotion. There have already been multiple entries removed for having no sources or significant coverage. There are many more entries that only cite a composer's website as a source, which is insufficient for Wikipedia. Given that the bulk of this list is work by a few well-known names, and the list only serves to attract inappropriate content for Wikipedia, it should be deleted. The better way to deal with Partch, Johnston, and Tenney is to mention these works in their biographical articles. A separate list seems to only lay out a welcome mat for random additions that are detrimental to Wikipedia. (Trumpetrep) |

| 2026-08-07 15:18 | General-purpose language (Computer language that is broadly applicable across domains) | Only citation for the main thesis that there is a "General-purpose language" alongside the already existing article General-purpose programming language is about "General-purpose programming languages". The article has nothing to prove the existence or notability of the broader "general purpose language" concept, it describes. Both articles claim to have the abbreviation GPL. DSL is clearly defined to be a programming language and comparisons of DSLs and GPLs are always about programming languages. (~2026-41888-44) |
