Hi, my real name is Andrey Vikt. Stolyarov, I live in Moscow, Russia. DrCroco is the nickname I often use whenever for some reason I can't use "Croco" (in this particular case, I registered at Wikipedia with that nickname one day, but then I managed to loose my password :) )
I work in Lomonosov Moscow State University, dept. of Computational math. and Cybernetics (computer science), as an associate professor; I hold the so-called candidate of sciences degree in Math and physics. The degree is specific to Russia and some xUSSR conuntries, actually it is the same as Ph.D. in other countries. Math and physics here don't mean a lot, as actually my scientific work, including the dissertation, was devoted to computer science, I did some research in programming paradigms; but in Russia, computer science still doesn't have an official name (that is, the term computer science has no official translation to Russian, and people use different wordings to reflect the term), and, depending on circumstances, computer scientists are awarded degrees either in mathematical and physical sciences or in technical sciences.
Besides that, I also hold the candidate of sciences in phylosophy, where my work was (and is) devoted to information violence.
Russian-speaking people should perhaps visit my user page at russian Wikipedia: ru:Участник:DrCroco.
