Gaff definition
In the Technical Description: AeolDrive rigging section, it's stated that the mast is mounted on a rotating gaff. The word gaff links to the article for the gaff spar in traditional ship's rigging, which is not what's being described here. I'm not totally sure what the gaff refers to in the SolidSail system - possibly the big beam underneath both sails? Some clarification would be helpful here, and the link to the gaff article is not helpful since it's a different piece of rigging not employed in the SolidSail system ~2026-28493-58 (talk) 16:42, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
