Maritime section desperately needs citations

I'm not going to go through the section with citation needed tags, but it is highly colloquial, assertive and needs to be overhauled. Statements like "Hundreds of ships have been wrecked on the rocks around the town" are quite strong and striking, and should be cited. It's a bit of a story-time tone as well.

It would be a bit of an undertaking but the page should have a small section referencing the Cryptosporidium outbreak in 2024.
