At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 8,935 in 2,082 households.[6] There were 6,054 inhabitants in 1,582 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,959 in 1,696 households. The most populous of its 18 villages was Alk, with 1,303 people.[2]
