Sean Liao's mother Huang Hsin-hui [zh] has served on the Taichung City Council.[1][2] His maternal aunt Huang Chiao-ling was killed by a drunk driver in 2012. At the time of her death, she was employed by the Taichung Industrial Policy Council. Liao's maternal uncle is Huang Hsien-chou.[3][4]
Political career
Liao began his political career as an aide to his mother, later worked for Jason Hu, then served the Kuomintang as a spokesperson.[5]
