Schlesneria is a genus of bacteria from the family of Planctomycetaceae with one known species (Schlesneria paludicola).^[1]^[2]^[3]^[4] Schlesneria paludicola has been isolated from sphagnum peat from Bakchar in Russia.^[4]^[5]
